We ARE the Change!
I’ve studied Management Information Systems and worked as a Software Engineer for 7 years in the corporate world. I became a manager before my 30s. I was working at least 10 hours a day for 5 days a week and making good money in a stressful environment. I was allowed to take only 2 weeks of vacation a year. I had no time to spend that money on the things that I love with my beloved ones. Plus, I was living in Istanbul, Moda and paying tons of money for rent. So the money that I made was flying away immediately.
I was rich but miserable.
I was alone and suffering.
I also had so many health issues (migraine, PCOS, skin disorders, etc.) that all doctors were coming up with surgery options. I was trying to numb myself with alcohol, parties, weed and chemicals to be able to continue my deluded life…
I know you all can relate to my experience. Because we all live in a system that is not sustainable for human beings.
Therefore a change is inevitable. But the question is “How?”.
I’m sorry but change is not going to come from an external solution. We ARE the change!
If we want to make a change, it’s essential to start with changing ourselves and changing the way we live first. Here are some baby steps to take.
1) Try to understand how this human-machine works. Learn your anatomy, learn your endocrine system, understand your mind. Don’t see health problems as destruction, realize they are just messengers from your emotions and if you listen to them and be aware of your own body you can heal yourself through breathwork, shadow work (recoding subconscious), meditation, physical exercises and a healthy diet with no need of medicine.
2) We need to go back to nature, we have to connect with Mother Earth again. Start planting your own herbs and veggies instead of buying them, parsley, mint, rosemary, cilantro, tomato, potato, onion are the easiest plants that you can grow in your house in small pots. You don’t even need huge gardens to start.
3) Stop reading news and magazines and watching “reality” shows. Feed your brain with healthy information that ancient civilizations mastered such as natural sciences, metaphysics, sacred geometry, and astrology, and really understand how this universe works.
4) Focus on your passions. What if there was no such thing as money on Earth, what would you spend your time with? What is your real passion that gives you childlike joy and endless pleasure? Spend more time on your passions and use your creativity more.
5) Take your kids for outdoor activities; camping, hiking, planting trees, beach cleaning, etc. rather than taking them to shopping malls. Let them touch the ground and get dirty.
6) Reduce plastic usage and recycle your waste.
7) Adopt an animal from shelters, if you can’t, feed the street animals and remember this planet is not just for humans, we are a huge family here!
If YOU change, the whole WORLD changes. It’s the easiest way to create an enemy and fight. But the separation and polarization have never solved any problems. Stop focusing on other people’s misery and feeding it with your precious energy. Focus on the best possible outcome and BE THE CHANGE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. No one has to pay a price for this, but you gotta take responsibility instead of waiting for a hero to save the planet. You are the hero and you’re enough. It’s time to start!
Aho! ✨🌿🌼
